Too many documents to read, struggling to write reviews, unable to produce a decent sentence for English papers — these are almost universal hurdles for every researcher. Spark Research Assistant is an AI research tool designed specifically to address these pain points. Co-developed by iFLYTEK and the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it is built on the Spark Large Model as its technical foundation, integrated with massive scientific literature resources, and provides services around three core areas: research on achievements, paper reading, academic writing, significantly improving the efficiency of literature research and reading.
Background and Strength: The Choice of Nearly 100 CAS Institutes
To judge whether a research tool is reliable, the developer and its scope of application are two key indicators. Spark Research Assistant is co-developed by iFLYTEK and the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is a fully domestic AI research assistant: one is a leading enterprise in China’s artificial intelligence field, and the other has been deeply engaged in scientific literature services for many years. Their cooperation makes the tool understand both large model technology and the ins and outs of academic literature.

Since its launch, its popularity has been remarkable — it currently covers nearly 100 institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and over 1,000 universities across the country, including 80% of the “Double First-Class” universities. Its rapid adoption in the traditionally picky academic circle shows that it solves real problems, not just a “toy” at the demonstration level.
