My go-to anime streaming site to share
Official website: https://anime1.me/
When watching anime, I always run into various annoying issues: either there are tons of pop-up ads before starting, and even mid-episode ads after waiting half a minute, and when I finally find a new anime, the picture quality is terrible; or switching between platforms is a headache, some new anime update slowly, some only focus on popular Japanese anime, and I can’t even find Chinese anime if I want to. Later, I accidentally found this site, which solved many of my previous annoying pain points.
New users who first come to this site tend to make a few mistakes: at first, I didn’t notice the Current Season Anime section in the top navigation bar, and I spent half a day searching for anime but couldn’t find the latest ongoing ones. Later, I found that this section neatly organises all new anime of each quarter, marking the status and update time, and you can start watching directly, saving a lot of time searching blindly. Also, I almost closed the site when I saw the traditional Chinese interface at first, but later I found that you can choose Simplified Chinese subtitles, and the traditional Chinese interface doesn’t affect finding anime at all — after all, the simplified and traditional Chinese names of anime are universal, so you don’t have to type in traditional Chinese. Also, don’t think you need to download an APP; just open it with your mobile browser, the adaptation is better than many dedicated anime APPs, and it doesn’t take up extra space.
The two things that impress me most about this site are: first, Completely Ad-Free, whether on PC or mobile, you can start watching anime directly when you click in, no mid-episode ads, no messy pop-ups, the smooth experience of watching anime is really different; second, the resources are comprehensive, not only popular Japanese anime, but also Chinese anime, movies, even some niche old anime and OVAs can be found, unlike many platforms that only focus on popular Japanese anime, if you want to find a nostalgic old anime, you have to go to several places.
- The Current Season Anime section in the navigation bar is a real godsend for lazy people, it arranges all new anime of each quarter in order of update, even marks the status, so you don’t have to check one by one;
- When playing anime, it supports multiple subtitle options, including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese, adapting to different people’s language habits, you can choose the one that suits you when watching;
- It has a dedicated download function, you can save HD Resources to your local device, no need to take up cache space of video APPs, you can open it anytime you want to watch;
- The site also has a separate wallpaper and avatar download area, you can find many character materials from anime, it’s convenient to change avatars and lock screens;
- It supports subscribing to Telegram updates, if domestic users can’t use Discord, they can follow the anime progress by checking the small tips in the navigation bar.
Compared with several anime platforms I used before, this site has obvious advantages. Some platforms were okay on PC, but had ridiculous ads on mobile, I had to wait more than ten seconds before watching every time, and there were mid-episode ads, which interrupted the anime-watching rhythm; this site is completely ad-free, the experience is so smooth. The update speed of new anime is also fast, several Japanese anime I follow are updated here on the same day or the next day, several days faster than another platform I used before, no need to wait anxiously for updates. The mobile adaptation is also better than many dedicated APPs, no need to download large-sized apps, just open it with the browser, you can close it anytime, no need to take up mobile memory.
- If you can’t open it due to regional blocking, just switch to a mobile browser (such as Chrome mobile version) or a reliable network node, don’t use unknown accelerators, they often come with junk ads;
- When searching for anime, you don’t have to type in traditional Chinese keywords, you can search with simplified Chinese, the names of anime are universal in simplified and traditional Chinese, no need to bother;
- Don’t click links outside the anime page, although there are no ads, some small links will jump to other irrelevant websites, if you want to download, click the dedicated download button in the anime details;
- The server is in Taiwan, it may lag when there are many people late at night, avoid peak hours to watch, or switch to a stable network.
The target audience of this site is quite clear: first, people who follow new anime every day and don’t want to wait for updates; second, people who hate ads on other platforms and want a pure anime-watching experience; third, people who like to save anime locally and pursue HD Resources; fourth, people who not only watch Japanese anime, but also want to find Chinese anime and movies; also people who watch anime on mobile and don’t want to download large APPs. Of course, there are also people who are not suitable, such as those who can’t accept the traditional Chinese interface at all, or those who have extremely high requirements for playback speed and can’t stand even occasional lag, they may have to try other platforms, but for most ordinary anime fans, this site is enough to meet their needs.
