I’ve had many bad experiences looking for online manga sites before—either endless pop-up ads, incomplete popular manga, or random redirects after a few pages. It wasn’t until a friend recommended Manga160 that I finally found a hassle-free place. To sum up: this is a free site where you can read manga peacefully, perfect for those who want to focus on the content.

A reliable manga site must first have complete resources

Do they really have all popular new series and classic old works?

When I was looking for old manga that had been serialized for over a decade, several sites only had half the chapters updated, but Manga160 has the complete ones. For newly finished series, classic works I want to catch up on, even rare short stories—Japanese manga, Korean webtoons, American comics, and even original Chinese webcomics—are all clearly categorized, so you don’t have to click through each one to check.

Can you find corresponding content for different types of manga?

I usually read Korean romance webtoons, occasionally catch up on American superhero comics, and also look for original Chinese ancient-style works—all these types are available here. Last time I tried to find a Japanese manga from the 1980s, I couldn’t find it on other sites, but it came up immediately when I entered the name here, no need to beg for resources on forums.

What’s the experience of reading manga—will it lag or require software installation?

Once I read it on my computer at work during a break, then continued on my tablet at home—seamless switching! No plugins to download, just open and read, the picture quality is clear, no blurry lines that are hard to make out.
Not having to wait for buffering makes reading long manga so much easier. Some sites used to take half a minute to load a page, and would lag when turning pages. On this site, pages turn smoothly whether on mobile or computer, even in areas with poor signal you can read a few pages normally without waiting for loading all the time.

Will there be gaps when switching devices to read manga?

I read on my phone on the way home, then switched to my tablet to continue—last page I read was found directly, no need to flip around for ages to find the spot. This site supports multiple devices: mobile, tablet, computer all work, no compatibility issues between different devices, which is more reliable than many small sites.

Will it take time to find manga?

Just search by name to find the manga you want, no need to flip through categories for ages. Last time I wanted to find a newly updated Korean webtoon, entered the name and it came up in a second, with the latest chapter count marked—no need to flip through recommendation pages to take a chance.
Popular recommendations and update alerts are really useful. Sometimes when I don’t know what to read, clicking popular recommendations reveals many new manga I didn’t notice; if I’m following a series, turning on update alerts lets me see how many chapters are new next time I open it, no need to check specially.
No need to pay, and no messy ads. Some sites used to pop up ads after a few pages, or redirect to other pages if you clicked wrong. This site has very few ads, doesn’t affect reading manga, perfect for those who just want to focus on the content.
Manga160 is the kind of site without fancy extra features, has complete resources, the reading process is hassle-free, no need to fuss with other things—for manga lovers, it’s a no-fuss choice.
