Want to catch up on the latest entertainment news at the weekend, but all you find is clickbait gossip or vague old news? Looking for reliable celebrity updates and reviews of new dramas, but can’t find a place to comfortably wait for updates? Actually, China Youth Online’s Entertainment Channel is specially made for us young people, solving many such problems.

Where to find unadulterated real-time entertainment news?

Official website: http://fun.youth.cn/

If a celebrity has a sudden event or a new drama is announced the night before, you can see the first-hand authoritative news as soon as you open this channel the next morning, without being misled by unsubstantiated rumours. For example, when a top-tier celebrity’s offline event was rescheduled at short notice before, the accurate notice was updated here within an hour, much faster than other platforms which took nearly half a day, so fans wouldn’t make a wasted trip.

Its content isn’t scattered fragments; it’s organised according to how we usually browse entertainment content, so you don’t have to search aimlessly. If you want to follow celebrities’ daily lives, read reviews of new movies, or wait for behind-the-scenes clips of TV dramas, you can find them in the core entertainment section. If you want to delve into a certain artist’s growth story, or see behind-the-scenes details of variety shows, the in-depth interviews and analyses in the extended cultural content are enough. There are also high-definition photos of celebrity events, previews of offline performances, even reminders for fan meeting ticket draws, so you can keep up with all offline events.

What else can young people learn from entertainment content?

Many people think browsing entertainment is just for relaxation, but in fact, there is a lot of positive content in this channel. For example, when talking about a band’s music album, it doesn’t just praise their popularity; it talks about their real experiences when making music, and the youth cultural elements integrated into their works. When reviewing a newly released movie, it will discuss from perspectives like camera language and the core of the story, not just whether it’s funny.

It doesn’t only focus on traffic, but also pays attention to creators who make content seriously. For example, when a new director’s debut film was released before, this channel not only posted the trailer, but also did an interview, talking about how he overcame difficulties like funding and time when making the movie. After watching such content, you can feel a down-to-earth vibe while browsing entertainment. Moreover, all content is made from a young person’s perspective, not preaching in an elder’s tone, but in language we can understand.

How to use this channel most conveniently?

When browsing normally, you don’t need to search specially; open it and you can see the latest content. If you want to wait for a certain celebrity’s updates, just search their name, and all related news will be aggregated together. If you like a certain variety show or singer, click in and you can see all related in-depth analyses and latest news, without flipping pages repeatedly to find them.

Its update frequency is also fast enough; when a hot topic comes out, it can basically provide accurate reports within half an hour, so you don’t have to wait too long. Moreover, the content is clearly categorised, without messy mixed things. If you want to relax, watch celebrities’ daily lives and new drama previews; if you want to learn more, watch in-depth interviews and film reviews. It’s convenient to use in any way.

In short, this channel is not an entertainment platform that just puts together content randomly. It really stands with young people, providing fresh entertainment news without making people feel impetuous after reading it. It’s quite reliable to use.
